About Stacy
Audie Finalist & Earphones winner, Stacy Gonzalez loves creating big casts of distinct & believable characters. Her voice sits well in female or male characters–including Middle Grade boys. She loves sinking her teeth into complex narratives & academic non-fiction, immersing the listener in the text.
The daughter of a Colombian immigrant, she loves narrating stories centered on that lived experience, using her conversational Spanish.
In romance, she’s a master of “will they, won’t they?”, and her 300+ credits include projects that inspired Netflix shows. She loves rom-coms, dark mafia, romantasy & everything in between.
Under her clean reads pseudonym, she enjoys spiritual stories of innocent love and exploring one’s values, bringing intimate connection to the listener.
A true empath, Stacy creates spaces for listeners to experience lives outside of their own and gain a deeper understanding of the world and people around them.
Fun Facts
I am a Real Housewives/BravoTV expert. I love to watch shows about women over the age of 30, and these shows are built on that. I'm drawn to their friendships, their divisions, their families--those are the types of stories that interest me.
I'm crazy for Old Hollywood, and I listen to A LOT of biographies about this time period. I will hunt down every pre-code movie I can find on YouTube. The biographies intrigue me because I find it so interesting to hear how women navigated Old Hollywood, whether triumphing and making millions or not.
I grew up in a family of scientists, and, as a non-scientist, I love to learn about and make sense of science-related topics. I believe that crystals hold energy that can influence us (though my brother, a geologist, thinks I'm a kook!)
